Goodbye, Ticketmaster
One adventure ends and another one begins.
Today is my last day at Ticketmaster, closing out my second tour of duty at the company. After four incredible years working with some of the best talent in the world, the time has come to start a new adventure.
I still remember my very first day at Ticketmaster like it was yesterday, and I leave today with a strong sense of gratitude and pride of everything the amazing team I leave behind has accomplished.
Together, we went on to accomplish many great things, not least of which is the team culture we created to value empathy and respect for each other and the fan above everything else.
Here are some of those great things we created together:
- The Open Platform
- The Ticketmaster Developer Experience
- Unlocking innovation on the platform
- VERIFIED FAN! (huge win for artists and fans!)
- The Smart Queue for ticket buying
- Fighting the bots to protect fans
- Replatforming all fan products to focus on master time to market
And many, many more! The industry took note and so did our fans. One of the most rewarding part of my job was reading tweets like these:
I leave today with the fondest memories of being in the trenches with the team, delivering on all of these great accomplishments with grace, laughter, and love for each other. Always.
