Today is my last day at Ticketmaster, closing my second tour of duty at the company. After four incredible years working with some of the best talent in the world, the time has come to start a new adventure.
I still remember my very first day at Ticketmaster like it was yesterday, and I leave today with a strong sense of gratitude and pride of everything the amazing team I leave behind has accomplished.
Together, we went on to accomplish many great things, not least of which is the team culture we created to value empathy and respect for each other and the fan above everything else.
Here are some of those great things we created together:
And many, many more! The industry took note and so did our fans. One of the most rewarding part of my job was reading tweets like these:
I leave today with the fondest memories of being in the trenches with the team, delivering on all of these great accomplishments with grace, laughter, and love for each other. Always.
This was my very last email to the team:
This is it 😊 Today is my last day with the company. I’m overwhelmed with all kinds of emotions right now, the strongest being gratitude. I’ll try to stay away from clichéd platitudes, but I hope you know by now that everything I say truly comes from the heart. For better or worse, what you see is what you get 😊
I’m beyond grateful for the opportunity you afforded me to serve as your leader over the past several years. I’m so proud of what we accomplished together. It was never easy or perfect or stress-free, but it was always gratifying. We overcame several obstacles and celebrated many triumphs together. We learned from each other every single day. You should feel incredibly proud over what YOU have accomplished. I know I am 😊
But perhaps the thing that I’m most proud of isn’t what we did together but how we did it. How we journeyed with heart, respect, trust, and genuine care for each other and the fan. That will forever be the hallmark trait of this team. You carried yourself with grace, integrity, lots of emojis (ok, maybe that was just me 😆), and most importantly, love. I’m so grateful and so proud of that, because in the end, what we accomplish is a reflection of our effort but how we do it is a reflection of who we are.
When the curtain falls, when we take our final bow, that’s the only thing that will matter. So stay true, care deeply, shine bright, and always always lead with gratitude and a genuine smile 😊
Four years ago, we started as a group of strangers, and now we finish as a group of friends. I can’t wait to see what you all do next. I am and always will be a fan.
Love you, all. ❤️🙏🏼🥰🙌🏼🎊
Here’s to new adventures for all!
I’m not crying, you’re crying! ❤️🚀
